Objective Planning Team Work This project accomplishes many significant objectives: Providing a source of income and upgrading the living standards of fishermen and people living along the coastline. The cultivation of seaweed improves the environment along the seabed and contributes to the conservation of the surrounding ecology. Seaweed can be transformed into bio-fuel and utilised as the green energy of the future, hence reducing pollution and helping to mitigate the effects of global warming. DMF and its collaborations with other related institutions: Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM): DMF is the first and only company in the country to have the privilege of using SIRIM’s dryer technology to address the rainy season problem when there is not enough sunlight to dry the seaweed. Sabah’s Fisheries Department: The provision of professional manpower and resources in seaweed farming — this helps to minimise waste, maximise production and enhance quality for the best possible result. Professional management team: An independent consultant will be monitoring the operations, carrying out progress checking on a weekly, supervisory basis and handing in a monthly report for review to examine if everything measures up to our projected target standards, from both operational and financial viewpoints.
